We love garlic so here are a couple of quick tips for cooking with fresh garlic.
For cooked dishes, add garlic immediately to a recipe if you want a light taste of garlic, and at the end of the recipe if you want a stronger taste of garlic.
Having trouble peeling fresh garlic cloves? Microwave a clove for 5 to 10 seconds and the skin will peel off with ease. If you hear the skin pop it’s been microwaved long enough.
To remove the garlic odor from your hands, rub a few drops of lemon extract on your fingers, then wash as usual.
Garlic is used in nearly every cuisine for enhancing savory dishes including; beef, pork, veal, lamb, wild game, chicken, turkey and other poultry, fish and seafood, salad dressings, stews, soups, casseroles, sauces and appetizers. Not only does it make our meals taste great, eating garlic may have health benefits.
