Can I work part-time?
Yes. You set your own hours, whether part or full-time. Many Associates choose to keep their full time jobs, while supplementing their income selling Watkins products. It is the perfect income opportunity for stay at home Mom's or Dad's or for retiree's to supplement their families income while still enjoying their current lifestyle.

How much money can I make with Watkins?
You'll earn commissions on every sale, 25% profit on your retail sales volume, and you may also earn bonus income approximately 5 to 14 % more. This increases as you grow your business and progress through each level of achievement. You also earn bonus income on the sales of Associates you sponsor, if you decide to sponsor anyone. Your income potential is only limited by your drive and creativity to sell the products.

Do I have to meet monthly sales quotas to continue being a Associate?
No absolutely not, Watkins places no quotas or sales requirements on your business. You simply order the products you want, for yourself and/or your customers when ever you want.

How expensive is it to start a Watkins Business?
Watkins Membership Package costs $39.95. That's not much, when you consider the costs involved in starting up most businesses. The marketing method you wish to pursue will help determine how much you'll need to invest to start your business as there are several starter kits available for you to choose from. For example two of your options are the Watkinize Your Home Assortment costs $349 US/$449 CDN and the Good Tastings Assortment costs $69.95 US/$81.95 CDN. After one year, you may need to pay an annual fee of $30. to maintain your membership or you may qualify for free renewal.

What are the requirements to become a Watkins Independent Associate?
You need to buy a Watkins Membership Package and sign the International Agreement, online or by mail. You must be at least 18 years of age, a citizen of the U.S. or Canada, and have a valid Social Security, Federal ID, or Social Insurance number.

How will I learn what to do?
You can learn about Watkins products and marketing strategies in the comfort of your own home at your own pace. Watkins "System For Success" will walk you through step by step. Our two web sites offer up to date training materials, step by step guides and tools. Your team is here to help you, we offer a six week training program for new associates, toll free numbers to call for assistance, e-mails etc. I am always happy to provide you with any extra training materials you want. Watkins offers conference calls, training meetings and conventions, all of these are of course optional.

How long will it take me to start earning money?
You'll earn income with your very first order, since you order products at the wholesale price and charge customers the retail price. So, it's really up to you as to how fast and how much income you earn.

Do I have to attend meetings?
No, other than Watkins Annual International Business Conference we don't hold many physical meetings. Our team offers conference calls, online training classes and seminars for your convenience. These events are optional but helpful in understanding and building your business.

How many other Associates must I sponsor?
Watkins does not require you to sponsor anyone. If you want, you can buy the products wholesale for your own use or to retail to others at a 25% profit. However, if you choose to sponsor others, the opportunity to grow your business, build a marketing team and earn bonus income is there for you. There are no limits on the number of people you can sponsor.

What if I don't have the money to get started?
The small cost of starting your own Watkins business should not stand in the way of your future! Can I use my business for tax write offs?
Yes. Now we aren't tax experts, however if you are genuinely trying to run a home based business you will be able to deduct business expenses from your income. We'll direct you to the appropriate resources once you've joined.

Will I be allowed to advertise my business?
Yes, you may promote or advertise your Watkins business almost any way you choose as long as you identify yourself as an Independent Associate. You may use Watkins current logos and name if you want to create your own materials. Naturally, you'd be expected to conduct yourself in a honest and professional manner. Watkins doesn't impose any other advertising restrictions on it's associates so you benefit from being able to align yourself with Watkins well known name.

Will I need to keep inventory?
Watkins doesn't require associates to keep any inventory, however the marketing method you choose will determine whether or not you need to carry inventory. For example if you use public displays/events to market the products obviously you'd need products to display and sell at the event. For the most part you will not need to carry any inventory as customer orders can be fulfilled fairly quickly, usually within a week.

What is the usual delivery time?
Watkins processes and ships orders quite quickly, depending on how far you live from Winona, MN or Winnipeg, MB most orders are delivered in 5-7 business days. You order will usually be delivered by UPS in the US or Purolator in Canada, right to your door.

What about party plan?
Party plan is one of the marketing methods you may use to build and grow your business. It's one of the best ways to manage your time, earn immediate income and grow your business. You are not required to use party plan and may choose another marketing method. Watkins currently covers the cost of all qualified hostess gifts and rewards which leaves more income for you if you decide to do party plan.

What types of payments are accepted?
Watkins accepts all major credit cards (and debit/bank cards in the US) as well as checks/cheques and money orders by mail. Once you've joined you will also have the option of setting up a quick pay account. For your convenience as well as your customers, Watkins will accept and process your customer's credit card, debit card payments or checks/cheques on your behalf as well.

How can I acquire catalogs and other promotional materials?
Watkins offers catalogs, promotional and business support materials for associates to order at a very reasonable price. Many of these materials are also available as free downloadable documents on the web site.
