Chocolate Rice Pudding

A nice creamy chocolate, yes chocolate rice pudding made with rice or almond milk. This recipe is vegan, gluten free and doesn’t contain refined sugar. Makes a nice dessert or healthy snack.

Vegan Chocolate Rice Pudding

Yield: 6 servings



  1. Place water, rice and a dash of salt in a heavy pot, bring to a boil. Cover tightly and cook on low for about 45 minutes or until all the water has been absorbed. Remove from heat, add milk, Vanilla and honey.
  2. Stir in dessert mix and bring back to a boil, stir constantly. Reduce heat, gently simmer while stirring to prevent sticking and cook until thickened.
  3. Pour into a serving bowl or individual dessert dishes and garnish with slivered almonds. Store in refrigerator until ready to eat.
  4. Serve warm or cold.
